Councilwoman Racquel Peebles announces candidacy for re-election to the Smyrna Town Council.
Smyrna Councilwoman Racquel Peebles is excited to announce her candidacy for re-election to the Smyrna Town Council. A lifelong resident of Smyrna, Peebles is committed to controlling growth, maintaining fiscal responsibility, improving local infrastructure, and enhancing public safety.
“I am running for Town Council because I believe we have to develop a better strategy for the rampant growth we are experiencing and keep our property taxes low,” Peebles said. “Together, we can address the challenges we face and build a brighter future for all residents. I will continue to be an independent voice and do what is best for the people, not the status quo.”
Peebles’ vision for Smyrna includes efficient government and creating a strategic long-term plan for growth and development.
“I approach issues from a common-sense point of view,” Peebles said. “Through my diverse community experience, I have the skills, insights and temperament needed to effectively serve the citizens of Smyrna on the town council.”
Peebles is a mother, caregiver and community leader. She is an attorney with 27 years of experience and has been a Smyrna small business owner for more than 20 years.
